Welcome to Adelaide Eye Care
Perfecting Sight and Protecting Eye Health for Life is Adelaide Eye Care’s Mission.
Adelaide Eye Care's experienced and professional optometrists and our talented optical dispensers (frame and lens experts) offer you complete eye care. By understanding you and your visual needs, and thoroughly understanding your eyes and vision, we recommend high-quality optical products that enhance your life through better sight.
We strive to be leaders in our industry, with the latest frame fashions, spectacle lens technology and diagnostic equipment helping us give you the best outcomes.
We have special interests in contact lens fitting and children's vision assessment and training. We love to help people with complex eye conditions, including high prescriptions, keratoconus, corneal graft, and eye muscle alignment problems. We run myopia control clinics at Westbourne Park and Mawson Lakes.
We welcome new patients, young and old, routine and complex, and hope to look after the eyes of whole families for life.
René Malingré - Professional Services Manager & Director
René and his wife, Elizabeth, have owned Adelaide Eye Care since 2003. Rene has over 30 years of experience across private and corporate practice. He graduated at the top of his year from QUT and has had a main clinical focus on helping people with complex eye problems. Contact lenses, especially for keratoconus and corneal grafts, and Myopia Control are his big passions, along with building and developing the practice. René loves spending time with Liz and his teenage daughter Lauren. He enjoys getting fit, and getting unfit, in equal measure.
From mid-October 2021, Rene is stepping out of the consulting room for several months to support his growing team of Optometrists and Frame & Lens Experts become the best they can be. René will be at Westbourne Park all day Mondays and Thursdays, and Mawson Lakes on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, ready to step in, say hello and assist the other optometrists. He encourages his existing patients to make appointments with Rebekah Hopps, Sam Hobbs, Oliver Mojica and Dipika Mistry on the days he is in the practice.
We love to see your happy faces, but masks are compulsory for patients, visitors and staff at Adelaide Eye Care. There are circumstances where masks can interfere with your care, so your optometrist may request your mask removal during your visit. We have some limitations on room occupancy, and continue to maintain a high level of surface cleaning in all areas.
All the very best,
Professional Services Manager & Director
